PSEADS INSTITUTE
Learning
is alive.
Pseads (“seeds”) cultivates the human capacity our future requires by creating the conditions for people to see themselves as capable learners, creators, and contributors.
Rooted in more than 20 years of research and practice
A BEGINNING
seed
What enables people to
see themselves as capable learners, creators, and contributors?
The answer is not more information or a single formula. It is creating the conditions that develop curiosity, reflection, and a voice people believe in.
The work begins with people rather than programs. A student finding a voice. An educator finding new energy. A young person following a question far enough to create something original. An elder discovering that experience is still generative. From there, the impact moves outward.
THE ECOSYSTEM
One root system.
Many ways to grow.
Pseads works across classrooms, educator communities, youth leadership, intergenerational learning, film and storytelling, and public gatherings. Each branch is distinct. The underlying practice is shared.
Hope on the Rize
K–8 Classroom Learning. Classroom learning experiences that integrate writing, science, storytelling, and creative expression, helping students discover voice and agency through film, poetry, science, and story.
Horizon Films
5th Grade–College. A writing and short-film project that builds upon classroom learning, transformation, and reflection.
Light Fellowship
Youth Leadership, Ages 12–24. A 12-month journey in creativity, leadership, and meaningful impact. Fellows step into the roles of creator, collaborator, and changemaker through real community projects that develop voice, agency, and purpose.
Exhale
Educator Development. Professional development designed not to add to what teachers carry, but to restore what brought them to teaching in the first place, building creative, reflective, and relational capacity.
Living Wisdom Collective
Intergenerational Learning. Elders, parents, educators, and youth learn alongside one another to build belonging, share wisdom, strengthen communities, and create deeper connection across generations.
Young people as creators
“What hasn’t yet been imagined?”
The Light Fellowship invites young people ages 12–24 into the roles of creator, collaborator, and changemaker. Fellows work on real community projects, developing voice, agency, and purpose through sustained engagement with Pseads.

FROM TREE TO FOREST
The goal is not a single extraordinary moment.
It is a culture where creativity, belonging, curiosity, and care become ordinary.
Pseads is designed as a collective, a collaboration, and a movement: a place where people can dream, create, imagine, express, listen, and become. The work grows through relationship, and relationship creates the conditions for impact to continue long after a program ends.
What educators notice
“My students have had a big boost in confidence… they are more willing to share their work.”
