From reflection to story
Horizon Films extends the Pseads learning process into short film, giving reflection a form that can travel beyond the original classroom or conversation.
Writing, narrative development, and filmmaking create a bridge between inner discovery and public expression. The result is not film for film’s sake. It is a way to help learners organize ideas, develop voice, notice what matters to them, and communicate with intention.
Horizon Films builds on the same reflective and inquiry-based practices that shape Pseads classroom work, then asks learners to make choices about image, language, sequence, sound, and audience.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
Pseads is expanding and codifying Horizon Films alongside Hope on the Rize so the learning model can reach young people beyond the San Francisco Bay Area.

Film asks a learner to decide what belongs, what changes, and how another person might encounter an idea.
A short film can move through classrooms, families, communities, festivals, archives, and future learning experiences.
