Hope on the Rize is PSEADS’ K–8 classroom program, bringing creativity, science, poetry, and storytelling into the school day. Through embedded residencies, students explore identity, voice, and their connection to the natural world.
Learning Inside the School Day
Hope on the Rize works within the existing rhythm of the classroom rather than outside it.
PSEADS partners with educators through 6–10 week residencies, embedding creative learning into the school day and connecting with the curriculum already in place.
The work gives students space to explore questions, ideas, identity, and the world around them through science, poetry, and story.
Finding Voice Through Story
At the heart of Hope on the Rize is the belief that students have stories, questions, and ideas worth exploring.
Through poetry, storytelling, and creative work, students develop their voices while making connections between themselves, their classrooms, and the natural world.
The program creates room for curiosity and reflection alongside academic learning.

From Blue Skies, Bright Star
Hope on the Rize grew out of Blue Skies, Bright Star, building on PSEADS’ experience of bringing creative, reflective learning into classrooms.
Today, the program is part of a broader PSEADS ecosystem designed to cultivate creativity, curiosity, belonging, and purpose across classrooms, communities, and generations.
